I am going to gloat because this is really REALLY awesome for me.
FanLit is one of the very first book review websites I started reading when I was contemplating the whole book reviewing thing. I've always admired the quality of reviews they post. I was absolutely floored when Stefan contacted me and asked me to apply to be a reviewer - and then Kat emailed me a few days later and told me the same thing. After submitting my first few guest reviews I've learned that 1) I have a LOT to learn from those people and 2) I look forward to learning from them so I can improve the quality of my reviews.
Anyway, I'm excited. After having the cancer news and struggling with the post surgery stuff, this was the sort of news that kind of vaulted me out of a sort of gloomy mood that's been hanging over my head. I have a lot to learn but I think FanLit is a good medium for me to use to improve. I'm really excited that I can be part of a website that has been influential to me from day one.
